Project Hope Programs

Our Programming

A better life is possible. We’ll help you get there. Whether you need to find direction in your life or work on things such as managing your emotions, social skills, dealing with conflict or loss issues, our program can be tailed to specifically meet your needs.

Individual sessions

Most of our therapy is done individually during 50-minute sessions with a client-therapist specifically trained in equine-assisted therapy. These sessions are compassionate and effective. We have therapists that specialize in working with very young children ages 3-7, elementary school and adolescents, adults, and people with developmental disabilities. Each session is goal-directed but also fun and motivating.

Peer Support Groups

Starting in April, there will be a Saturday morning social interaction group from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at our Bowling Green Site. Children who have difficulties with peer relationships will engage team building activities that encourage good communication, problem-solving, anger management, and assertiveness skills with other peers sharing similar struggles.

Summer Camp Days

Five Saturdays during the summer, a seven-hour “camp day” is offered for children of all different age groups. Our camps are open to any child to provide a wonderful “horsin’ around experience. This includes trail riding, team building riding experiences, a craft, and a western cookout. Check out our camp day schedule on Facebook.

Project HOPE Healing Retreat Weekends

Spirituality, mindfulness, and the awe-inspiring interactions with the horses are important components of the retreat weekends we provide. Experiences during these retreats offer lessons and “light bulb” moments around the powerful realization that we are all simultaneously alone and also connected in amazing ways and part of something much bigger.

Three times during the year a spiritual retreat weekend is offered to women focusing on different aspects of healing. The first retreat weekend is scheduled for April 26-28th entitled “Unbridled Freedom”. Come give yourself a replenishing gift and learn how to experience more freedom in your life through your interactions with horses.
